Engage add-on

Pool service marketing automation
that follows every lead from the first message to the won job.

$50a month

Lead forms, a booking page and a website chat widget bring the lead in, a pipeline keeps track of it, and workflows send the follow-up while you're on the route.

Texting runs on a numberWorkflow texts and review requests go out from a Communications number. When you take both add-ons for $80 a month, you get one number, one inbox and 1,000 text messages a month, and each text after that is 3¢.

What's in Engage

Engage gives you nine tools for leads and follow-up, and all of them work from one customer list.

A form, a chat or a booking request creates a customer marked Prospect, or finds the one you already have. The inbox, pipelines, workflows and Smart Lists all work from that same list.

01Shared inbox

One inbox for the whole office

Website chats land here as threads, and you answer by email right from the thread. You can assign a thread, leave an internal note or schedule the reply, and once you add Communications, texts and calls land here too.

02Workflows

Follow-up that sends itself

A workflow can start from any of 23 events or on a schedule, and its steps send an email or a text, wait, branch, tag, move a deal and stop at a goal.

Ten templates for a pool office install as drafts, so you can change the wording and test on your own phone before turning one on.

How workflows work
03Pipelines

Every deal on one board

Drag a deal from New Lead to Scheduled with its value and owner on the card, then mark it won or lost and keep the reason.

04Lead forms

Lead forms

Embed one on your site or share its link, and the answers can steer the workflow that follows.

05Booking page

A booking page

Homeowners pick a service, a day and a time window, and the office confirms the visit.

06Website chat

A chat widget

A visitor's message becomes a lead in your inbox, with the phone or email you need to reply.

07Review requests

Review requests

Text a tracked review link after the job, and each customer is asked once per window you set, which is 90 days to start.

08Smart Lists

Saved lists of customers

Filter by tag, status, rate type, past work or an unpaid invoice, then save the list. You can send it an email broadcast, or a text broadcast if you have Communications.

09Marketing results

What each form earned

See each form's new leads, deals and won revenue over the last 7, 30 or 90 days.

On its own, or with a number

Engage works on its own, but texting needs a Communications number.

Engage

$50 a month

  • Website chats in the inbox, answered by email
  • Workflows that email, create tasks, tag and move deals
  • Pipelines, lead forms and the booking page
  • Smart Lists as the audience for email broadcasts
  • Marketing results for every form

Engage + Communications

$80 a month

  • One local number and one inbox for texts and calls
  • Workflow texts, review requests and text broadcasts
  • Calls that can start a workflow: call missed, call completed
  • 1,000 text messages a month, then 3¢ a text
  • The AI voice agent, with 400 voice minutes a month

Both add-ons sit on top of the core plan, and they cost $100 a month bought separately but $80 when you take them together.

Three workflows to start with

These three workflows are worth turning on first, and each is built from steps in the builder today.

One turns a website chat into a deal, one chases a declined card, and one fills the spring schedule. Steps marked Communications send a text from your number, while the rest run on Engage alone.

01Sales

A website chat turns into a deal

Starts onChat started

Every chat gets an owner and a callback the same day, and if the deal still hasn't moved two days later, the lead gets an email.

02Billing

A declined card, before it's a phone call

Starts onPayment failed

A customer who pays along the way jumps to the goal and hears nothing more, while the ones who don't pay get a call from a person five days in.

03Seasonal

Spring openings, asked every March

Starts onOn a schedule

A schedule reaches customers already on your list, which an event never does, and only the ones who answer get a deal. Marketing texts go only to customers who agreed to them.

A workflow starts with the next event after you switch it on. It doesn't reach back to old quotes, finished jobs or imported customers, so to reach people already on your list, run it on a schedule for a tag or status, like the third example.

Every trigger and step
Lead capture and pipelines

A website visitor becomes a customer on the route, and one record follows them the whole way.

Leads come in three ways, every deal sits on one board, and you can see what each form actually earned.

Lead form

On your website, or at its own link

They
They fill in their name, a phone or email, and whatever questions you add.
Pool Runs
Creates the customer as a Prospect, or matches the one you have, adds the form's tags and can email your team.

Website chat

A widget in the corner of your site

They
They type a question and leave a phone or email so you can reply.
Pool Runs
Opens a thread in the inbox, tags the new lead web-chat, and can alert whoever is on duty.

Booking page

A page you link from your site or a text

They
They pick a service, a day, and morning, afternoon or evening.
Pool Runs
Files a booking request the office marks contacted, scheduled or declined.

The quote rides with the deal

Link a quote to its deal from the quote itself, and a quote that's sent, accepted or declined can start a workflow.

Won deals become customers

Mark a deal won by hand, or let a workflow do it when the quote is accepted, then set the customer Active and schedule the first visit.

Lost deals keep the reason

Price, went with a competitor, no response or bad timing. The board shows your win rate, and Marketing shows won revenue by form.

Side by side

Here's how follow-up automation compares, with the fine print in the footnotes.

This table shows what each pool and field service app sends after the job or the quote, what it costs, and whether a customer can text back.

Questions

Here are plain answers to the questions people ask about Engage.

What is pool service marketing automation?

Pool service marketing automation is software that brings in new leads and sends the routine follow-up around your route, so nobody has to remember it. In Pool Runs that's the Engage add-on: lead forms, a booking page and a website chat widget catch the lead, a pipeline tracks it, and workflows send the emails, texts and tasks that move it along.

Do I need Communications to use Engage?

No. Engage works on its own, with the inbox for website chats, workflows that email and create tasks, pipelines, lead forms, the booking page and Smart Lists. Anything that sends a text, including workflow texts, review requests and text broadcasts, goes out from a Communications number. If you take both for $80 a month, they share one number and one inbox.

How much does texting cost?

Texts go out from your Communications number, which includes 1,000 text messages a month, and each text past that is 3¢ on your monthly invoice. Texts your customers send you don't count.

Will turning on a workflow message my whole customer list?

No. A workflow starts with events that happen after you switch it on, like the next quote sent or the next job completed. It never reaches back to old quotes, finished jobs or imported customers. To reach people already on your list, run a workflow on a schedule for everyone with a tag or status, or send a broadcast to a Smart List.

Can I try Engage during the free trial?

Yes. Choose Engage when you start your 30-day trial, and it isn't billed until the trial ends. Forms, the booking page, the chat widget and pipelines work from the first day. Until your subscription is active, Pool Runs sends email only to your own team, so test workflows on yourself first.

Can my team work leads from the phone?

Yes. The Pool Runs mobile app has the inbox, the pipeline and booking requests, so whoever is in the truck can answer a lead between stops.

Start with Engage

Every lead gets a next step, even the chat that comes in at 9:42 pm.

Install a template, change the wording, send a test to your own phone or inbox, and switch it on. From then on, each new chat, form and quote gets its next step without anyone having to remember it.

Engage is $50 a month on top of the core plan. Pool Runs is from $45/month with 50 properties included.

Booking requests reach the office as an alert, and the follow-up text on the quote sends from a Communications number.
